KAILUA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The bill has come in for President Barack Obama and his family's holiday vacation in Hawaii.

According to Honolulu police, the cost for HPD officers' overtime pay during the first family's visit was more than $277,000.

That number is about $16,000 less than last year, but around $60,000 more than two years ago when President Obama spent part of his vacation in Washington D.C., when he was dealing with a financial crisis.

The first family spent 16 days on Oahu, staying in the same Kailua neighborhood and enjoyed days of golfing, hiking, snorkeling, and eating shave ice during their vacation.

This was their seventh holiday vacation to Hawaii.
