HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The prospective Maui ban on GMO's continues to make waves among law makers and officials in Hawaii. Last week, Sunrise invited economist Paul Brewbaker on the show to discuss his study of how banning GMO's would impact the economy. Big Island Senator Russell Ruderman believes the study is flawed and he supports the idea of a GMO free Valley Isle.

Ruderman says the report presented last week overlooked costable benefits and the necessary job loss Brewbaker referred to when enacting the initiative to ban GMO's is fundamentally not true.
