HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - After a video that went viral in just a matter of hours on social media, the woman dubbed as "road rage lady" has turned herself in to police.
The woman, Kimberly Ong, was involved in a road rage incident on Wednesday near the Moanalua Shopping Center after another driver allegedly cut her off.
Ong was booked on unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle, a class C felony.
Ryan Arakaki is the person filming the video and admitted to cutting Ong off in traffic, but said she was distracted by her mobile phone.
After Arakaki pulled in front of Ong, she became infuriated and Arakaki says she followed him with her car horn blaring for several minutes before he decided to pull over, hoping she would end it.
Instead, Ong got out of her car and reached into Arakaki's truck to try and slap away his cell phone, which is where her charge stems from. The incident continued to escalate with Ong yelling at Arakaki, using obscene language and name-calling, until Arakaki finally drove off.
Arakaki uploaded the video to his Facebook page, and the video quickly went viral across all platforms of social media. It currently has more than 463,000 views on YouTube.
Ong was released pending further investigation following Wednesday's incident near Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam.
