On the western shore of Oahu, the JW Marriott Ihilani Ko Olina Resort and Spa is scheduled to temporarily close early next year and undergo an extensive renovation which is likely to reopen under Four Season Hotels.

The Resort Group is repurchasing the Ihilani from Cornerstone Real Estate Advisors after the agreement with Marriott International is up at the end of this year.

According to Pacific Business News, in a letter addressed to Ko Olina residents, master developer Jeff Stone said the resort will reopen "under one of the top luxury brands in the world."

In the letter, he also extended a heartfelt thanks to the residents celebrating the success of the Ko Olina Resort.

"The incredible growth of Ko Olina has experienced over the years is a direct result of your long-term commitment and dedication", Stone said.

The new management will be hosting a private job fair exclusive to Marriott Ihilani employees to discuss available career opportunities.

The five-star hotel management company recently registered a new business in Hawaii under "FS Ko Olina Inc."
