Meetings to discuss a recognized native Hawaiian government continue, but not all Hawaiians are in favor of this idea. Trisha Watson, a native Hawaiian expert and activist, community leader, Ph.D. and teacher, is here on Sunrise with her perspective on this controversial proposal. She describes the situation as "a very unfortunate sequence of events" and feels as though the meetings came at a bad time, with very short notice.
