Hiker falls 80 feet on Olomana trail
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A 37-year-old man was rescued after falling 80 feet from the third peak of the Olomana trail on Oahu on Saturday afternoon.
The man was hiking the notoriously steep and challenging trail with another male when he fell 80 feet and landed on a ledge.
Officials said a call for help came in at 12:44 p.m. Crews were able to reach his side at 1:34 p.m.
He was transferred to Queen's Medical Center just before 2 p.m. in serious but stable condition.
