Visitations canceled at Big Island and Oahu correctional facilities

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Hawaii Department of Public Safety canceled visitation hours at the Hale Nani Correctional Center on the Big Island, and the Women's Community Correctional Center on Oahu Saturday.

According to DPS officials, Hale Nani units affected include Punahele, Komohana and Waianuenue.

Hale Nani visits that were canceled on Saturday, are rescheduled for Sunday.

Officials say visitations were also canceled at the Women's Community Correctional Center in Kailua Saturday due to staffing shortages.

According to DPS officials, WCCC visitations have been rescheduled for Sunday.
