Hawaii Kai branch of Bank of Hawaii reopens after SUV crash

HAWAII KAI, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - [Update 8:50 p.m.]

Bank of Hawaii's Hawaii Kai branch will reopen for business on Tuesday. BOH said Monday's accident did not affect the bank's ATM or night depository, located on the other side of the building.

The branch will resume its normal hours of operation: 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. (M-Thur.); 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. (Fri.)

A black Mercedes-Benz SUV slammed into the Hawaii Kai branch of Bank of Hawaii Monday morning.

Honolulu police say it happened around 9:30 a.m.  at the Koko Marina Shopping Center. There were no major injuries reported.

In August 2013, two women were injured when a car crashed through the front of the Hawaii Kai Post Office. Police say the driver was trying to reverse her vehicle but had mistakenly left it in drive.
