(Hawaii News Now) - The third edition of The Hapalua – Hawaii's Half-Marathon – will be held April 13 at 6 a.m., starting at the Duke Kahanamoku statue and ending at Kapiolani Park.
The Hapalua will feature The Chase. Three professional world class Kenyan runners will chase Hawaii's best amateur runners who will get head starts. The Kenyans will be led by former marathon world record holder Patrick Makau who has run half marathons faster than 1 hour a total of eight times. The other two Kenyans will be Peter Kiriu and Olympic silver medalist Isabella Ochichi, the first woman chaser in The Hapalua.
