HPD to conduct DUI roadblocks through Spring Break

With Spring Break approaching, Honolulu Police will be out in force looking for impaired and reckless drivers. HPD will continue to set up roadblocks at unannounced locations throughout the coming months.
The checkpoints will be conducted from Saturday, March 1, through Wednesday, April 30, 2014, including the holidays of St. Patrick's Day, Prince Kuhio Day, and Easter Weekend.
These checkpoints are part of department's ongoing effort to reduce traffic injuries and death. HPD have been conducting DUI checkpoints, every week since October 2013 and will continue to do so through September 2014. This is part of the federal "52/12" sobriety checkpoint program.
