HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Another former Warrior is off to the Great White North

The Canadian Football League's Montreal Alouettes announced Thursday the club has reached a two-year deal with ex-UH cornerback and return specialist Mike Edwards.

During his two seasons at Hawaii, Edwards led the nation in kickoff return yards and then later signed with the New York Jets as an unrestricted free agent.

He's not the only great UH returner now playing in Canada.

CFL MVP and Grey Cup Champion Chad Owens is entering his sixth season with the Toronto Argonauts.

The CFL season begins in early June.
