Ceremony honors victims of Pearl Harbor attack

PEARL HARBOR (HawaiiNewsNow) - A ceremony will take place Friday at the Arizona Memorial Visitor Center to commemorate the 72nd anniversary of the Dec. 7 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

The Freedom Bell -- cast in bronze with metal from the World Trade Center -- will be rung in honor of those who served in the armed forces. Skydivers will also unfurl American Flags over Pearl Harbor.

The event, in which Gov. Neil Abercrombie and Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell and are expected to attend, will take place at 9:30 a.m.
