OCCC inmate escapes while out on 5-hour pass

KALIHI, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu Police and State Sheriffs are looking for an inmate who failed to return to OCCC at 5 p.m. Friday.
Charles Abellana, 51, was allowed out for 5 hours to look for a job, but was not on a work furlough program yet.
He is 5'6", 140 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
Abellana was serving time for stealing a car. He was going to be released December 25, 2014.
If you see Abellana, you are asked to call police.
