HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The local boys from the Aloha Plate food truck came out on top in Season 4 of the Food Network's series, "The Great Food Truck Race."

Brothers Lanai and Adam Tabura from Lanai and their buddy Shawn Felipe from Oahu watched the show tonight with family and friends.

The crew covered about 15,000 miles and 14 states all across the U.S. in a little more than 2 months. They won $50,000 dollars and a new food truck.

"We had some rough roads in the beginning but at the end of the day we found our niche, everyone knew their job and we worked through all the hardship. The weather, the challenges, the truck stop, road stops and here we are today," Adam Tabura said.

It's the first time a team from Hawaii participated in the show.
