HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The University of Hawaii football program has lost its offensive coordinator just four weeks before the season opener against the USC Trojans.

Aaron Price was hired in February as the offensive coordinator and wide receiver coach.

Head Coach Norm Chow says, "Some issues have arisen and we've chosen to move forward without Aaron." Chow said he will not fill the vacant position this season.

Coach Chow will divide duties among graduate assistant Jordan Wynn and Jordan Matthews and himself.

"This was a difficult decision to make and the timing is unfortunate as we begin fall camp," Chow added.

An offensive coordinator is a member of the coaching staff who is in charge of the offense.
