Snorkeler who drowned in Kahala waters identified

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The 63-year-old man who died after being found unconscious while snorkeling at a Kahala Beach has been identified.

The Honolulu Medical Examiner told the Honolulu Star-Advertiser that Michikane Kawasaki was found floating unconscious on July 3, 2013 in an area fronting the Kahala Hotel.

He was reportedly taken by paramedics to the hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.
