Train collision at Dole Plantation injures five

NORTH SHORE, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - An accident involving the collision of two trains at Dole Plantation Wednesday injured five people.

The incident happened just after 4:30 p.m. near the pineapple maze. The two trains collided after heading towards eachother on the same track.

Emergency Medical Services says two patients were transported to the hospital while the three others were treated on scene and refused transport.

The collision involved three women, ages 24, 41, 48, a three-year-old boy and a 2-month-old boy. All had minor injuries. The 24-year-old woman was listed in serious condition.
