HONOLULU (AP) - A 23-year-old man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for a Honolulu traffic crash that killed two people, including the man's 12-year-old brother.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports the crash on Jan. 1, 2011, killed Samson Kautai and 42-year-old Jennifer Parsons.

Sese and three teenager passengers were seriously injured.

Prosecutor Dean Young says Sese's blood alcohol content three hours after the crash measured more than twice the legal limit for driving.

Young says Sese's car reached 78 mph in a 35-mph zone as he tried to pass another vehicle and crashed into Parsons in the opposite lane of Kunia Road.

The driver of the car Sese tried to pass also spun into the opposite lane. It was hit by a pickup and both drivers were seriously injured.
