Matson reaches agreement with 3 seagoing unions

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Three seagoing unions, the Sailors' Union of the Pacific, Seafarers International Union and Marine Fireman's Union, reached an agreement with the shipping giant Matson Saturday afternoon.

Matson and the three unions agreed on a new four-year contract which is subject to ratification by the union's members. The existing contract was set to expire at midnight on Monday, June 30.
