West Hawaii men charged with sex crimes

KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii (AP) - Two west Hawaii men have been indicted on sex crime charges in separate cases.

West Hawaii Today reports a grand jury last week indicted Alfred Kamaka III of Kailua-Kona on 10 felony sexual assault counts and one count of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a minor.

The indictment says the victim was born in 1997, making her about 15 when prosecutors say she was assaulted on two days in July 2012.

A second indictment charges 32-year-old Andrew Rodriguez with three felonies: attempted electronic enticement of a child, promoting pornography for minors and using a computer to commit a crime.

The indictment says the offenses took place between Aug. 28 and Oct. 12, 2010.
