KAIMUKI, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - During school, many students will wonder when they will ever use what they learned in real life. A local school -- School for Examining Essential Questions of Sustainability -- hopes to answer those kinds of questions. SEEQS, located in Kaimuki, will open on August 5 with its inaugural classes made up of sixth and seventh grade students. The public charter school aims to develop skills in subjects like english, science, math, history and the arts while focusing on interdisciplinary application of those disciplines through various hands-on projects.
