Fire engulfs ice cream truck on Maui

MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) - An ice cream delivery truck caught fire while driving along Honoapiilani Highway on Maui Monday morning.
Officials say the fire sparked just before 6 a.m. about a quarter mile south of Launiupoko Park. By the time firefighters arrived, the ice cream truck was fully engulfed in flames. It took about 40 minutes to get the fire under control and an hour to extinguish.
Honoapiilani Highway was partially closed as crews battled the flames. No one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
