HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Major leadership changes were announced for Maryknoll Schools on Monday.

Darcie Kawamura becomes the High School Principal and Chris Loomis will take on the role of Grade School Vice Principal.

Glenn Medeiros was named the High School's Vice Principal.

Many remember Medeiros as a pop star in the 1980's and 90's.  Medeiros' song "Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You" reached Number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent four weeks at No. 1 on the UK singles chart in July 1988.

In 1990, Medeiros recorded "She Ain't Worth It" with Bobby Brown. It hit No.1  for two weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 on July 21, 1990.

Medeiros has been with Maryknoll School in Honolulu for five years, first as an American History teacher at the High School.

"We look forward to this exciting new leadership at both campuses. Please join me in congratulating Mrs. Kawamura, Mr. Medeiros and Mrs. Loomis as they begin their new roles and work together to ensure that our students are receiving the quality education our families have come to expect at Maryknoll School," said  Perry Martin, President of Maryknoll School.
