UH with 2 Finalists for AD Position
HONOLULU – From an applicant field over over 150, with another 50 plus contacts from Parker Executive Search, the University of Hawaii has whittled its pool of potential Athletics Directors down to two.
The search advisory committee has delivered the names of two finalists for the position to the desk of UH Manoa Chancellor Tom Apple for consideration.
The spokesperson for the Chancellor's Office confirming to Hawaii News Now that December 6th – the target completion date for the completion of the search for a new AD "looks to be on target".
When the process is completed it will bring to close a search that started in mid-September, spanning almost a full three months.
UH Manoa has been without a permanent Athletics Director since July 11. Jim Donovan was reassigned following the botched Stevie Wonder concert. Rockne Freitas, the VP for Student Affairs & University/Community Relations, has served as the interim AD.
