HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Fresh Express Incorporated is conducting a voluntary and precautionary recall of one of its Spinach products that may contain salmonella, according to the FDA.

A random sample of the Fresh Express Spinach in a 9-ounce package with a November 7 use-by date yielded a positive result for salmonella. Consumers who may have purchased the product are asked to dispose of it, and Fresh Express is offering a full refund.

The company says that no illnesses or consumer complaints have been reported.

The recall applies to spinach sold in Hawaii, along with California, Arizona, Nevada, and twelve other states.
