9th Annual Surf 4 HUGS event this weekend

Waikiki (HawaiiNewsNow) - The 9th annual Surf 4 HUGS event will be held at Kuhio Beach in Waikiki on Saturday, Aug. 4, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Surf 4 HUGS founders Dee and Brent Thomas says families receiving HUGS' services will get a complimentary lunch donated by the Rainbow Drive-In and Coca Cola, beach towels donated by Sobel Westex and surf lessons by volunteer beach boys using boards donated by Koa Board Sports. The purpose of the event is to give seriously-ill children and their families a break from the stresses of their medical concerns and to raise awareness for HUGS and its services.
