HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - About 400 pounds of Keoki's Lau Lau 12 and 48 ounce tubs of kalua brand pork are being recalled due to possible listeria contamination.
The products were produced on May 24 and May 25 at the Kalihi processing facility and have a batch number of 546 and 552. They were distributed to retail outlets around the state. The company says about 50 pounds were pulled off the shelves on Friday.
The problem was found during follow-up testing after an earlier sample tested positive for listeria. The company says anyone who has the recalled product may return it to the store where they bought it for a full refund, or just throw it out.
