MANOA (HawaiiNewsNow) - It's an important week for the future of the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Starting Wednesday, candidates for the position of chancellor will begin visiting the campus.
Candidates will make presentations to students, faculty and the community regarding their vision for the university.
On Wednesday, Carlo Montemagno is expected to drop by the campus. According to the UH website, he's currently the Dean of the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University of Cincinnati.
Montemagno's presentation is set for Thursday at noon in the Kuykendall Hall.
Three other candidates will visit in April. It is not clear if any of them have personal ties to the islands.
At this point, all of the candidates work for universities on the mainland.
