HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Presidential candidate Mitt Romney is attacking President Barack Obama's plans to come to his home state over Christmas.

The president is scheduled to arrive on Oahu on Dec. 17 and stay for 17 days.

However, the length of his stay may change depending on what happens with the battle over payroll tax cuts and unemployment benefits.

Obama has spent his Christmas in Kailua with his family for the past two years.

Romney's taking the opportunity to criticize the president. He told a town hall in Iowa by phone that the president's "hands-on" approach to the economy is getting a grip on his golf club.
