Ross Dress for Less to open Waikiki location

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow)- Ross Dress for Less, the nation's largest off-price apparel and home fashion chain, will add to their more than 1,000 stores on Friday with the opening of a new location in the center of Waikiki.
The store will host a grand opening ceremony on October 7,, 2011 that will include a public ribbon cutting ceremony and the chance for customers to win a $500 shopping spree or one of five $100 shopping sprees. The in-store sweepstakes will run through Sunday, October 16th.
"The opening of the Waikiki location marks our continued commitment to the Honolulu market," said Gary Cribb, Executive Vice President, Stores and Loss Prevention for Ross Stores. "The new store will provide Honolulu area shoppers - both residents and visitors - with a convenient source for great deals on nationally recognized brands."
The grand opening celebration is also scheduled to include donations to local charities.
"In honor of our dedication to the Waikiki community, I also am pleased to announce that Ross Stores will make a donation of $1,000 each to the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii and the Hawaii Food Bank," Cribb says.
Ross also operates 12 other locations in the Honolulu area, including nearby stores in Downtown, Hawaii Kai, Kapolei, Keeaumoku, North Windward, Pearlridge and Ward Avenue.
