Hawaii makes top 10 list of tattoo-friendly cities

HONOLUU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu was recently voted to the top 10 tattoo-friendly cities in the U.S.

Honolulu came in at No. 8 on the list.

About 45 million Americans have at least one tattoo.

The city with the most tattoos per capita is Miami Beach.

The top five ink-friendly U.S. cities include the following :

1. Miami Beach, FL
2. Las Vegas, NV
3. Richmond, VA
4. Flint, MI
5. Portland, OR

The top five least ink-friendly U.S. cities include the following:

1. Salina, KS
2. Anchorage, AK
3. Helena, MT
4. Anderson, SC
5. Grand Folks, ND

New research is finding some tattoos may contain toxic chemicals in their ink which could be carcinogenic.
