BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) - The hunt for unexploded military ordnance continues Friday at the Hapuna Beach State Recreation Area.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is doing surface and subsurface scanning for any explosives left over from World War II.

The beach will not be closed, but the public is being asked to stay at least 200 feet away from technicians.
