6.0 magnitude earthquake rattles Solomon Islands

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A 6.0 magnitude earthquake was reported in the Solomon Islands Thursday morning.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The USGS says the earthquake was reportedly 33.9 miles deep and the epicenter was 16 miles northeast of Kira Kira in the Solomon Islands.

A tsunami was not generated from the quake.
