MANOA (HawaiiNewsNow) - The University of Hawaii at Manoa was recently reaccredited for a full 10 years -- the maximum reaccreditation period granted.
The Western Association of Schools and Colleges made the announcement this week.
"Earning the maximum 10-year reaccreditation is definitely a 'chicken-skin' Manoa Moment and a wonderful affirmation of our university's high quality," UH Manoa Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw said. "The hard work of so many folks went into this accomplishment-the commitment and creativity of our faculty, staff, students, administrators, alumni, friends and so many across the community have been impressive."
The WASC praised the flagship campus for the tremendous strides its made since the reaccreditation process began in 2006.
