SCHOFIELD (HawaiiNewsNow) - It was a happy homecoming for some Hawaii-based soldiers. 135 soldiers from the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division stationed at Schofield Barracks returned Sunday morning from a one-year tour in Iraq.

Family members were on-hand at Wheeler Army Airfield to welcome them home. The soldiers say there's no better feeling than being back in the islands.

"My wonderful wife and family have been supporting me, giving me so much love for a year, and finally I get to come home and help out around the house with my sweet little girls again," said 1st Lt. Richard Bobo.

"I have three kids now and seeing them for the first time along with my wife...words can't describe," said Staff Sgt. Timothy Snyder.

The 2nd Brigade came back with five fewer soldiers, who were killed in action.
