Gov. Lingle's portrait set in place at State Capitol

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Governor Linda Lingle's official portrait is now in place at the State Capitol.

The Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts installed it Tuesday.

It's hanging on the mauka wall of the governor's executive chambers, alongside governors John Burns and George Ariyoshi.

Lingle's portrait was painted by local artist Christy Fujii.

She completed it in seven weeks from a photograph of Lingle at Washington Place.
