HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - From a rooftop frame to a coffee table, Re-use Hawaii makes it possible for furniture designer Thorben Wuttke.
Every month, the company breaks down houses piece by piece, salvaging lumber, glass from windows and even siding from the walls.
Then Re-use Hawaii sells the goods at a retail warehouse in Kakaako.
That's where Wuttke can pick up his raw materials to design beautiful pieces.
Trained in cabinetry in his native country of Germany, Wuttke designs and builds his pieces at a studio in Kalihi.
You can see his work around Honolulu and on his website forwardthinkingfurniture.com.
