(Honolulu-AP) -- The last suspected Hawaii case of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome has been ruled out.

The state Department of Health says preliminary tests on a man who arrived in Hawaii from Shanghai on April 22nd were negative.

The man was treated for mild respiratory symptoms and was isolated at home until May 10th.

Health department spokeswoman Laura Lott says no one in the household has SARS symptoms.

She says blood samples were taken Thursday for more tests.

Five earlier suspected cases were ruled out.
