HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Honolulu Fire Department responded to a fire at an abandoned bowling alley in McCully Saturday morning.

This comes two weeks after there was a fire at the exact same location, the abandoned Bowl-O-Drome at 820 Isenberg Street.

The building has been vacant for years and is slated to become affordable housing.

HFD said they received a 911 call around 11:50 a.m. for a building fire.

HFD arrived with 6 units staffed with 22 personnel to find smoke coming from the outside of the building.

The fire was brought under control by 12:33 p.m.

HFD officials confirmed there was no one in the building.

Officials say the fire is under investigation to determine the origin, cause, and damage estimates.

HFD officials say that due to the structure fire, Isenberg Street is blocked off in both directions from Date Street to King Street.
