Quarter-sized hail reported as thunderstorms move over Oahu
Residents from Nanakuli to Wahiawa to Salt Lake reported quarter-sized early Thursday as strong thunderstorms moved over Oahu.

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Residents from Nanakuli to Wahiawa to Salt Lake reported quarter-sized early Thursday as strong thunderstorms moved over Oahu.
First Alert Forecast: Flood watch posted for Oahu, more heavy rain possible through Friday
The severe weather was being caused by a trough that’s stalled near Kauai and Oahu with bands of moisture.
A flood watch that was posted for Oahu was canceled Thursday evening. However the National Weather Service said light winds may allow a few heavy showers and thunderstorms to develop over the islands through Friday evening.
