HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Special agents from the Department of Taxation and Department of Public Safety Deputy Sheriffs arrested an Oahu woman Thursday for multiple tax violations.

Officials said Saena Yi was charged with false and fraudulent statements as well as failure to file a return, supply information or secure a license for the 2017 and 2018 tax years.

If convicted, Yi faces up to three years in prison and a fine of up to $100,000 for each of the two counts of false and fraudulent statements. She also faces one year in prison and a fine of up to $25,000 for each of the two counts of failing to file taxes.
