HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The suspect in the fatal Tantalus shooting last month that left a high school senior dead was arrested at an Oahu jail Friday in connection with a separate shooting in 2021.

Nainoa Damon has been indicted on second-degree murder charges for the March 18 shooting.

He is now also facing first-degree attempted murder and firearms counts for a January 2021 shooting in Kunia. Police said he’s suspected of firing into a vehicle with three men inside.

One of the men sustained a gunshot wound to the torso.

Police said that after his arrest Friday, Damon was sent back to the Oahu Community Correctional Center pending further investigation.
