HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A federal judge Thursday rejected former Honolulu Managing Director Roy Amemiya’s attempt to dismiss federal conspiracy charges against him.
Amemiya’s attorney says there wasn’t enough evidence in the indictment, but the judge disagreed.
He’s charged alongside former Corporation Counsel Donna Leong and Ex-Honolulu Police Commissioner Max Sword over the $250,000 retirement payout to Louis Kealoha.
Their trial is set for June 13.
