Hawaii reports 25 new COVID cases; no additional fatalities

HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaii reported no additional fatalities and 25 new COVID cases Wednesday, pushing the statewide total for infections since the pandemic began to 36,357.

Of the new cases, 13 were on Oahu and nine on Maui. There were four cases diagnosed out-of-state.

Meanwhile, the death toll from the virus in Hawaii remains at 500.

There have been 709 cases in the last 14 days.

So far, the state said it has administered 1,542,440 vaccine doses. Some 52% of all residents are fully vaccinated while 59% have gotten at least one dose.
