HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - The University of Hawaii is working on a COVID-19 vaccination rollout plan as the state continues inoculations.

UH President David Lassner said faculty and staff fall under Phase 1B because they are essential workers.

He asked that those individuals fill out a questionnaire online if they want to be vaccinated.

Meanwhile, most students will fall into Phase 2, which means they won’t receive shots until the spring or summer, Lassner said.

Officials remind the UH community to continue following all safety guidelines, including wearing face masks and avoiding large social gatherings.
