HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - An investigation is underway after military police found the body of a soldier’s spouse in a Schofield Barracks housing area.
Authorities said they made the discovery around 8 a.m. Wednesday while conducting a welfare check at the request of a family member. Sources told HNN the body was found in a trash receptacle in a home.
A person of interest has been identified, sources said.
Army Criminal Investigation Command is investigating and has not released additional information.
The victim has not been identified.
