Authorities seek parole violator considered potentially armed and dangerous

HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaii authorities are seeking a parole violator who is believed to be armed and dangerous.

The State Sheriff Special Operations Fugitive Unit is looking for 29-year old Charleston Silva.

The Department of Public Safety said the Hawaii Paroling Authority issued a parole retake warrant for Silva on Jan. 5. He was serving time for second degree robbery and was paroled in April of 2019.

Silva is known to frequent the west side of Oahu, and is described as standing 5′ 9″ tall, weighing 247 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. He also has a dark beard and tattoos on his right and left hands that say Cha and Chi.

Anyone who may recognize him is urged to keep their distance and call 911 or State Sheriffs at 586-1352.
