HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - Moderate trade winds will continue through Thursday. Showers will favor windward areas, especially during the night and morning hours, with some reaching leeward locations. Light and variable winds are expected Friday with afternoon clouds and showers across interior areas. Cooler temperatures are anticipated Thursday night and Friday night. Gentle trade winds will return Saturday and remain into next week.
Surf is expected to climb well above advisory levels, but we will closely monitor the buoys for signs that surf could near High Surf Warning levels during the peak of the swell today. This swell will decline on Friday, followed by a potentially large north-northwest swell on Saturday and Sunday and another northwest swell on Monday and Tuesday.
