HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - The man known as the Waikiki Santa has died.
Every Christmas for decades, Donald Boyce — with his real beard, and palaka outfit — would paddle into the shoreline on a canoe.
He visited many schools and shopping centers — and even published a book.
Boyce’s daughter says he he passed away at his Kailua home surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren. He was 81 years old.
