HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - An employee at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam at its Pass and ID office tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, military officials said.

According to officials, the office closed immediately for a deep cleaning but reopened on Wednesday morning.

Contact tracing is now underway.

The Pass and ID office is where visitors go to get a temporary pass to access the base.
